At St Francis Xavier, we want to maximise the learning for all students.
This means that we need to consider all learners and how they learn best. With the belief that all learners can be successful, we want to provide effective pedagogy, informed by data, which embraces multiple entry points for learners and enables them to work through the progression of learning. To enable this we need to ensure that all teachers:
- Develop a deep understanding of the progression of learning in all areas of the curriculum
- Teachers are committed to ongoing improvement and are supported in this process by the development of a strong culture of professional learning
- Can support the Catholic Identity of the school by providing the opportunity for students to learn and understand about self, others and God
